When you join the Canadian Art Therapy Association Canadienne d'Art Thérapie (CATA-ACAT),
you will receive:
- An electronic membership card
- A tri-annual newsletter
- The bi-annual CATA Journal
- Reduced fees to CATA conferences and workshops.
Professional and Registered members will also have access to:
- Liability insurance at a reduced group rate and
- The ability to promote their practice through the CATA online directory called Find an Art Therapist and Find an Art Therapist Supervisor
To make application to become a member, please follow the steps below to apply online. Once your application is complete and the required documentation for each particular level has been received and approved, you will be given notice that you are now a member and receive your membership card.
Becoming a Registered Member
Applications are reviewed three times a
year: Sep 30, Jan 31, and Apr 30. All applications and documentation will now be scanned and sent in one email to the firstname.lastname@example.org. All verification forms from supporting professionals will now be completed and signed (but not sealed) so that the applicant can scan into the same email. If you have any questions, please contact the CATA Registration Chair at email@example.com.
Lapsed Register Members
If you have previously been granted RCAT status with CATA, but have lapsed your membership for more than two years, you must complete a Re-Registration Application - RE-REGISTRATION APPLICATION INFORMATION - 2015-04-03.pdf.
