Cultivating a self-reflective practice is important for both the well-being of the therapist and that of the client. By looking inwards, we can reveal countertransference responses and prevent burnout. Yet accessing aspects of our unconscious isn’t always easy nor is it straightforward. This interactive workshop explores the technique of drawing with eyes closed as a way to bypass common blocks in self-reflection and gain insights from our innermost experiences.

Zoë Bowman is an art therapist, registered psychotherapist (qualifying) and educator. Her expertise is in promoting therapist self-reflection and using creativity to prevent burnout and compassion fatigue.
