This workshop will help educators and those in the helping professions work with regulating emotions, executive functions, understand and work with aggression, dissociation, and withdrawal. Making school environments trauma sensitive helps remove trauma as a barrier to learning and development. The foundational concepts of the workshop are trauma informed, body-centered, strength based expressive therapy practice, self-care, Indigenous cultural responsiveness and decolonization practice, and multicultural responsiveness.
